On May 8, 1941, Bobbie Ann Lackey was born to the late Mr.
Cleveland Lackey, Sr. and Mrs. Lillian Robert Lackey; grandparents, Mr. &
Mrs. Ben (Polly) Lackey and Mr. & Mrs. Jack (Mattie) Roberts.
Bobbie was raised in Porterdale where she attended school. She joined Mt. Calvary Church in the Porterdale Community. She later moved to Detroit, Michigan with her sister, Mrs. Leslie Gaither and her family.
After Returning to Covington, she married Mike Kelly, she worked at the Bibb and Walton Mill where she retired.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Willie Clarence Lackey, Johnny C. (Ben) Lackey, Cleveland Lackey, Jr., Fred Lackey, Jr., Earnest Lee Lackey, Willie Gene Lackey, Leslie Gaither, Eloise Woods and Betty Belcher.
She leaves to cherish her memories, sister, Ms. Annie Laura Lackey; brothers, Eddie Ray Lackey, Sidney (Brenda) Lackey, Robert Lee (Linda) Lackey, James Edward Lackey, Dennis Leroy Lackey; grandson, Kentavious Belcher; a special friend, Ralph Freeman; devoted nephew, Jermaine Belcher; devoted nieces, Marlo, Markita, Whitney and Kenya and a host of other loving, special family and friends.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 at Grace United Methodist Church, at 3145 Washington St. in Covington, with the Rev. George P. Lanier officiating. Interment was at Westside Cemetery.
