Mrs. Alma M. Gray, 89, of Loganville passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at her home. She was born August 21, 1924 in Far City, North Carolina to Dock Gilbert and Caroline Beck who have preceded her in death. Mrs. Gray was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was baptized in 2004 at True Gospel Mission Church and loved to fish. Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by five of her children Barbara Alice Pruitt, Danny Leroy Pruitt, Ila June Pruitt, David Thomas Pruitt and Dennis Michael Pruitt; she was also preceded in death by nine of her brothers and sisters along with her husband Melvin H. Gray.
Mrs. Gray is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Willis Spain of Loganville, her brothers and sisters Michael Beck of Virginia, Darrell Beck of Canton, Gilbert and Catherine Beck of Carrollton and Jewell Beck of Douglasville. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Graveside services for Mrs. Gray will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Green Meadows Memorial Gardens with Reverend Jeff Clegg officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Saturday prior to the graveside service. J.C.
