Steven L. Russell of Conyers passed away May 3 at Rockdale Medical Center.  He was 65 years of age at the time of his death.  Mr. Russell, a graduate of Georgia State University, enjoyed watching comedies, and loved his western movies.  He arranged and composed music and was part of a traveling orchestra.  He will be remembered as loving son, father, grandfather and brother.  Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Lemah (Tipton) Russell; and brother, Eugene W. Russell.

Survivors include his father, Marvin Otha Russell of Loganville; daughters and sons-in-law, Lesli and Brandon Hardy of Walnut Grove, Maegen and Brad Dennis of Milledgeville; sons and daughter-in-law, Quentin Russell of Bloomfield, New Jersey, Colin Russell of Covington, Mitchell and Jackie Russell of Covington; children’s mother, Olivia Russell Pruiett; grandchildren, Preston Russell, Karli Hardy, Lylah Hardy, Addison Russell, Nora Hardy, Brooks Dennis; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Randy Clark of Loganville; brother, Rick Russell of Walnut Grove; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services for Mr. Russell were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, at Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, 915 Church Way in Loganville, with Rev. Dan Wilson officiating. Interment followed in Walnut Grove United Methodist Church Memorial Cemetery in Loganville. Contributions may be made to Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
