Mr. Robert Lonnie Johnston age 69 of Conyers died July 4, 2014. A Celebration Service will be held at noon Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Calvary Baptist in Lilburn. Pastor Rev. Cavin Cawthon officiating.

Born in Duluth, Georgia Mr. Johnston was raised in Tucker, Georgia. He retired from Grady Hospital after 30 years as a HVAC Mechanic Technician. Robert’s most memorable school years were spent at Berry Academy for Boys (now Berry College) in Mt Berry, Georgia. He served in the US Air Force during Vietnam Era. He loved his toys, model cars, trains, old music, and dancing. He enjoyed the Atlanta Braves, the Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs and most any sports. He was an avid fisherman.

Mr. Johnston is survived by wife, Jannet A. Johnston of Conyers; son, Robert C. Johnston of Dacula, Georgia; daughter, Heather Marie Webb of Lawrenceville, Georgia; sister - Jane Porter of Covington, Ga.; and four grandchildren.

Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
