Oscar Alvin Stapp, 70, of Mitchell, died on April 30. He was born in Stephens County on June 7, 1943, to the late Myrtle Kell Stapp and the late Henry Vincent Stapp.

Surviving Stapp are: wife, Ann Stapp of Mitchell; daughters and son-in-law, Shirley May of Loganville, Donna and Chris Carter of Loganville; sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie “Kuz” Stapp of Mitchell, Chuck and Angela Laws of Aiken, South Carolina, Dwayne Hall of Newport, Tennessee, Roger Lynn and Karen Hall of Newport, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; and special friend, Jackie Fitzgerald.

Funeral services were Saturday, May 3,at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Whittenberg and Rev. Jim King officiating.

Interment followed at Hill Haven Memory Gardens.
