Life for Mr. Anthony Jame Freeman began on May 21, 1976 in Newton County to Mr. and Mrs. Freddie (Alice) Freeman.

He received his education in the Newton County School System. He joined New Bethel Grove at an early age.  

As a young adult he entered the workforce doing jobs like Taco Bell, Bibb Manufacturing and Dart Container for many years, Anthony was a very classic man, with believing in the finer things in life. He would always have a smile that would brighten a room, even when he was feeling his worst.  

Anthony Freeman was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas (Johnnie Mae) Williams and Mrs. Willie Kate Freeman; great grandmother, Mrs. Eunice Benton; two uncles, Mr. Alvin Freeman and Mr. Tommy Freeman; two aunts, Ms. Sally Brown and Ms. Mary Benton.

He leaves to cherish his memories; a loving and devoted daughter, Alysia Freeman; one grandson, Nadaji Freeman; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Freddie (Alice) Freeman; one brother, Mr. Freddie Freeman; one sister, Ms. Alicia Freeman; two nieces, Catera Freeman and Alexia Freeman; five nephews, Ladonte Freeman, Sedrick Freeman, Jeremiha Freeman, Gabriel Freeman, Kameron Freeman; aunts and uncles, Mrs. Tracy Cannion, Mr. Willie Benton, Mr. & Mrs. Ladd (Sandra) Green, Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Willie Pearl) Stanley, Mr. Chuck Williams, Rev. & Mrs. William (Ella) Gaither, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy (Rachael) Nolley, Mrs. Ola Mae Brown, Mr. Charlie Gaither, Mr. Johnny Gaither, Mr. and Mrs. Garfield (Jerry) Lackey, Ms. Saddie Gaither, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy (Linda) Wise, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick (Tashia) Gaither; five great aunts ,one special great uncle, Mr. Johnnie R. Benton; special friends, Tawanna Brown, Shunda Avery, Reek Anderson, Sundia Bank, Rashaye Wise; along with a host of cousins and other friends.

A funeral service was held at noon Sunday, May 19 at New Bethel Grove Baptist Church, 501 Bethel Grove Road, Monticello, with the Rev. W.H. Gaither officiating. 

The family of the late Mr. Anthony Freeman would like to express our sincere thanks to each of you for your prayers, phone calls, food, flower and cards during our bereavement during the loss of our loved one. May God bless each one of you.
