Michael R. Pittman, 48, of Bryan passed away Aug. 15 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Mike was a husband and father first, then a beloved son, brother and friend. He was a positive person that enjoyed life to the fullest and was the life of any party. Mike was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bryan since 1998 and God was a vital part of his life. Even with his long battle with cancer, he valued every day with his family.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betsy and Tick McElreath.
Survivors include his loving wife of more than 26 years, Melinda Pittman of Bryan; children, Amber and Adam Anthony of Cypress, Texas, and Matt Pittman of Bryan; parents, Margaret and Guy Tucker of Oxford, Ga.; sister and brother-in-law, Melanie and Johnny Tatum of Oxford, Ga.; parents-in–law, Raymond and Catherine Stuart of Hutchinson, Kan.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cheryl and Mike Mascarro of Hutchinson, Kan., Daryl and Tonia Stuart of Berthoud, Colo., Lisa and Thaine Mahanna of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Funeral services took place Aug. 18, at First Baptist Church of Bryan with Brian Crump officiating. Burial followed at Bryan City Cemetery.
