  Mrs. Annie Maude Johnson Maddox  was the third child born to Mr. Johnnie Johnson and Mrs. Sweetie Wyatt Johnson's growing family on April 10, 1911.

      She married Mr. Wesley Maddox at a young age and they made their home in Monticello, Georgia. They relocated to Stanford, Connecticut and later settled in Norwalk, Connecticut. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Norwalk, Connecticut, where she served on the Ladies Aid Society. In 2008, she returned to Covington, Georgia to reside.

      On July 13, 2013, at the blessed age of 102, Annie completed her earthly journey and went home to be with the Lord. Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

       Left to cherish her memory are, brother, Mr. Henry T. Johnson, sister, Mrs. Anna Ruth Ivey, both of Covington, Georgia, family luminary and nephew, Mr. Arthur J. Johnson, of Champaign, Illinois, devoted friend, Ms. Gladys Williams, of Norwalk, Connecticut, as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
