Lorene P. Rainey of Covington, passed away November 16, 2011, at the age of 96. Mrs. Rainey was a faithful member of Alcovy United Methodist Church, for over 30 years, and loved her church family dearly. She enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, reading, and working in the flower garden. Mrs. Rainey loved her family, and enjoyed cooking for them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Rainey; and her parents, Monroe Sanford and Leona (Evans) Pair.

 

Mrs. Rainey is survived by her daughters, Geraldine R. Hamilton of Stone Mountain, Sylvia A. Cochran of Snellville; grandchildren, Jeffrey Cochran, Rodney Cochran, Greg Cochran, Stacy Cochran, Darrell Wallace, Wanda Mize, Mike Hamilton; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, James Huland Pair of Smyrna.

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Rainey will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011, 11:00 AM, at Alcovy United Methodist Church, with Rev. Teresa Lilja and Elder John Melvin officiating, and interment following in Roswell City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, Friday, November 18, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM.
