Mrs. June Barclay, age 76, of Covington passed away January 3, 2014.  She was born July 6, 1937 in Covington, Georgia, to the late Hughie Lee and Bertha Bryan Thomason.  Mrs. Barclay attended Newton Baptist Church and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was affectionately known as “Nanny June”.  She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Joe Barclay and her granddaughter Haley Diane Barclay.  Mrs. Barclay is survived by her sons and their spouses; Mitch and Kim Barclay of Hampton, Danny and Robin Barclay of Moreland and Barry and Kay Barclay of McDonough along with 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Barclay will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2:00pm on Sunday prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund at www.ocrf.org, or at 212-268-1002 or email at info@ocrf.org.
