Mr. John H. Park Jr., 82, of Covington, passed on to reunite with his parents John and Emma Lou Park and sister Mrs. Edward (Helen) Gattis on Dec. 15. He was born in 1930 in Covington. He retired after 38 years of service as a general superintendent with General Motors Corporation. Mr. Park was also a veteran of the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was loved dearly by his family and friends.

Mr. Park is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Carol Jean Park; daughters and sons-in-law Cindy (Park) and John Crews of Snellville, Terri (Park) and Billy Langford of Lilburn and Cheryl Denise and Barry Nierengarten of Palm Harbor, Fla.; grandsons Michael Melton and Cody Crews also of Snellville; sister Betty Jean (Henderson) Jenkins.

Funeral services for Mr. Park will be held at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 19, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with Pastor John Byerly officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
