John Dana McCullough, 57, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital after a challenging fight to recover from a brain bleed stroke.
John was born in Covington on November 29, 1957, to Jerry McCullough and Bebe Joan McCullough. Known by many as Dana, he grew up in Covington, graduating from Newton County High School. He worked in factory settings as a fork lift driver.
John was survived by his wife, Carrie; daughter, Tiffany McCullough; stepdaughter, Jennifer Maughon; grandson, Trinity Baker and siblings Debbie Woodruff, Bruce McCullough and Daryl McCullough. He also had six nieces and two nephews.
John was well liked in his personal and church life. He was very interactive, personable and friendly; doing whatever he could to help out someone in need. He will be missed by his family, friends and church.
A memorial service will be held for John at his church, the Led By the Spirit Mission, 8125 Industrial Way, Covington, Ga. 30014 on Sunday, October 23, 2016, at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the church that John loved so much, Led By the Spirit Mission.
