Ms. Jo Ellen “Jody” Hughes, 67, of Oxford, Georgia passed away Tuesday March 10, 2015 at Newton Medical Center. Jody was born in Ashland Kentucky to the late Joseph and Helen Hughes also preceded in death her brother George Robert ‘Bob” Hughes.

Jody was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and a great friend to all who knew her. She was an avid Braves fan and loved the Georgia Bulldogs, Jody enjoyed playing softball and bowling , she had such a great since of humor, she also loved the outside and hanging around the pool.

Ms. Hughes is survived by her brother Patrick Wilson, sister in law Martha Hughes, her nieces and nephews, Kim Wilson, Kayla Tanner, Joshua Wilson, Joe (Cheryl) Hughes, Jim (Samantha) Hughes, many great nieces and nephews, and friends Lori Dunsmore and Amy Carver, among many others.

A private memorial service will be held on Saturday March 14, 2015.
