Mrs. Jeanne Wiley Driver, age 80, of Covington passed away September 24, 2014. She was born September 12, 1934 in Covington to the late James and Nezzie Prickett Wiley. Mrs. Driver was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend; a good Christian woman who was a member of Sardis Congregational Church and attended Gaither’s United Methodist Church and Porterdale Presbyterian Church. She loved nature, flowers and was an Atlanta Braves fan. Mrs. Driver was a private duty nurse who sat with many families during extended illnesses; she was loved by everyone who knew her.
Mrs. Driver is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Kathie and Joe Wynegar of Ellijay, Susan and Wesley Parish of Covington, her grandchildren Jennifer and Lliam Holmes of Sugar Hill, Doug and Kelli Parish of Covington, Derek and Sofia Wynegar of Buford and Laurie and Jeff Dyer of Grand Canyon, Arizona her great grandchildren; Laila, Lucy, Jazmin, Fernando, Matthew, Will and Katie. She is also survived by her brother Billy Wiley of Conyers and her sister Dorothy Jonas of Salt Lake City, Utah along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends and her beloved Chihuahua “Toby”.
Funeral services for Mrs. Driver will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday, September 28, 2014 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend William Herndon officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Saturday, September 27, 2014. J.C.
