Mrs. Janice Nadine Goodman Gibson, age 71, of Talking Rock, Georgia passed away Monday, April 10, 2017.  She was born Dec. 10, 1945 in Porterdale to the late James Goodman and Minnie Goodman Campbell.  Mrs. Gibson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and was of the Presbyterian faith.  She worked for a number of years as an office manager for Shoney’s Family Restaurants.  Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her son, Donald Lanier Owens.

Mrs. Gibson is survived by her Husband, John Gibson; Son, James Newton Owens of Newborn; Step-son, John Brian Gibson and his wife, Jaqui of Villa Rica; her Step-daughter, Jennifer Rae Thorsen and her husband, John of Woodstock; her Grandchildren - Hannah Renee Owens, Lauren Hope Owens, Katie Gibson, and J. P. Miller along with other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gibson will be held at 2 o’clock, Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
