Mr. James "Jim" Thompson, 73, of Covington, passed away Feb. 18. He was preceded in death by his son Timothy Alton Thompson; two sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife Faye A. Thompson; sons William S. Thompson of Toledo, Ohio, Bart Thompson, Vincent Thompson, both of Panama City, Fla.; step-daughter Sandra and Craig Stevens of Covington; sister Laura Edwards of Thomaston; special grandchildren Garrett Stevens, Mackenzie Stevens; several nieces, nephews and other grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Thompson will be held 2 p.m., tomorrow, Feb. 21, at the Chapel of Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with Rev. Phillip Bone officiating, and entombment following at Memory Chapel Mausoleum in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tomorrow, two hours prior to his service, from noon to 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 474 Crowell Road, Porterdale, GA 30014.
