James E. (Cotton) Edge, Jr., of Covington, died April 29, 2009, at the age of 64. Son of the late James E. Edge, Sr., he enjoyed racing and working on and painting cars. Mr. Edge will be remembered as a devoted son, father, and grandfather. Survivors include his daughter, Abbie Edge of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Donna Edge of Covington; grandchildren, Cpl. Nicole Palmerton Bishop and Jason Bishop, Keleigh Millett, Neyland Cotton McGhee; mother, Sylvia Edge of Covington; best friend, Carol Ricks of Monticello. Funeral services for Mr. Edge will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2:00 PM, at the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, with Rev. Todd Sweat officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, May 1, from 6 until 9 PM.
