Hilda Ann Moon McGiboney, of Oxford, died at her home, May 16, 2009, at the age of 64. Daughter of the late Huey and Vera Forester Moon, she was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Walton County, loved reading and studying her Bible, and even won an award from Bible study. She enjoyed gardening, doing income taxes, and spending time at the ocean. Mrs. McGiboney was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. On May 25 of this year, Mr. and Mrs. McGiboney would have celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary. Survivors include her husband, Robert McGiboney of Oxford; daughter, Christina McGiboney Hunt of Oxford; grandchildren, Crystal Lynn and Justin Scott Campbell, Amy Yvette Hunt, Elizabeth Ann Hunt; great-grandchildren, Parker Ollen Peale, Ariel Summer Campbell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shelby and Frank East of Tignall, Linda and James Stewart of Oxford; sisters-in-law, Florence Moon of Covington, Geneva Kidd of Conyers. Funeral services for Mrs. McGiboney will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2:00 PM, at Sharon Baptist Church, with Pastor Glenn Stephens officiating and interment following in the church cemetery.
