Henry Usher Almand, 61, of Madison died March 13. Mr. Almand was the son of Henry and Aslee Armour Almand. He was born in 1947 in Morgan County. He married Shirley Long in 1964. They made their home in Madison. Mr. Almand owned and operated Henry's Fast Lube in Covington. He enjoyed drag racing and building muscle cars.
Mr. Almand is survived by his wife of 44 years Shirley Long Almand and their two children Lynn Day and husband Steve of Madison and Bart Almand of Covington. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jena Day, Steven Day, Haley Day and Lizzie Day.
A memorial service was held March 15 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of A.E. Carter Funeral Home.
