Ms. Gwendolyn Rena Boswell died Oct. 21. The daughter of Hattie Boswell and Comer "Pat" Howard, she was born in 1969 in Covington. Ms. Boswell attended Newton County schools and graduated in 1987. She was a valued employee for over 15 years at Smurfit-Stone, formerly Mead Containers. She had a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, accepting him as her Lord and Savior. Ms. Boswell was a devoted daughter, auntie and sister. She always wore a smile and was full of joy. She was family-oriented and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Surviving are mother Ms. Hattie Boswell; father Mr. Comer "Pat" Howard; sisters Andrea (Alvin) Hutchins, Joyce Marie Boswell, Melissa J. Boswell, Teresa Boswell Banks, JoAnn Mathis (Phillip) Lewis; brothers Kenneth (Patricia) Boswell, Michael (Cheryl) Williams, Willie C. Boswell, Cedric (Karen) Robertson, Jim (Belverly) Hardeman, Michael (Samantha) Mathis; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services will be at noon today, Oct. 27, at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Matt Murphy and Elder Bernard J. Mendinghall officiating. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to noon. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
