Gene Maddox, of Buckhead, passed away Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at the age of 72. Gene was a devoted husband and father and will be profoundly missed by all who came across his path. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas O. and Frances Eloise Maddox.

Survivors include his loving wife, Katherine H. Maddox, of Buckhead; son, Christopher Maddox, of Madison; daughter, Barbara Maddox, of Durham, North Carolina; brothers and sister-in-law, Paul Maddox of Rydal, Pete and Lynda Parker, of Augusta.

A Memorial Service for Gene will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd St., in Covington with the Rev. Mike Hardy officiating.
