Frances M. Boulis, of Covington, died March 16, 2010 at Newton Medical Center, at the age of 85. Daughter of the late Darling Cleveland and June Audrey Scott Phillips, she worked in the Navy PX and War Assets in her younger years, then was the owner and operator of her own beauty shop. Later she worked as a Realtor and was the librarian for the DeKalb Board of Realtors for over 20 years. Ms. Boulis attended The Church of the Good Shepherd, enjoyed her monthly “Family and Friends Breakfast Club,” and was a hospital auxiliary volunteer. Most important to her were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bob Phillips on February 8, 2010. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Patricia Boulis of Rutledge, Rob and Pat Boulis of Portage, MI; grandchildren, Christy and Clinton Shaw, John David Boulis, Angela and Patrick Dumler, Kevin Boulis; great-grandchildren, Dalton Shaw, Skylar Shaw, Cole Boulis, Allison Dumler, Matthew Dumler; sisters, Helen Hart of Eatonton, Betty Fisher of Hampton; long time special friend, Charles King. A Memorial Service for Ms. Boulis will be held on Friday, March 19, 2:00 PM, at The Church of the Good Shepherd, with The Rev. Timothy H. Graham officiating. A dinner and reception will be held following the service at the Parish Hall. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, March 18, from 6-8 PM.
