Florrie Lee Pickett Mobley Jenkins, age 93, of Covington passed away October 14, 2013.  She was born August 17, 1920 in Covington to the late Hiniard and Ina Pickett.  Mrs. Jenkins moved at age 4 to Atlanta with her family and moved back to Covington to her Highway 36 home in the 6th grade.  She married her first husband, Julius Mobley in 1936; he died at an early age.  Mrs. Florrie was a supervisor with Covington manufacturing and worked there for many years.  She was later employed at Hercules in Covington where she met and married Don Jenkins.  Mr. Jenkins passed away in 1978.  Mrs. Jenkins was a member of High Point Baptist Church being baptized in 1949.  She loved flowers; she enjoyed traveling and was a talented seamstress.  She could make anything she was requested to.   For many years she made beautiful dresses, pant suits, bridesmaid dresses, and prom dresses.  One of her favorite projects was to make lap blankets for nursing home patients.  A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law; Sybil and Turner Davis of Griffin and Judy and Ronald Martin of Covington her sisters and brothers-in-law; Shirley and Kirk Watkins of Social Circle, Nita Kitchens of Covington, Jacque and Gary Whitten of Covington and Martha Lunsford of Jackson.  She is also survived by grandchildren; Wanda and Wayne Lyles, Chris and Wylene Tomlin, Steve and Amy Tomlin, Julie and Daryl Tuck, Chad and Julie Mobley and Jason Mobley along with eight great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jenkins will be held at 11:00 A.M., October 16, 2013 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Dr. R. Hudson Moody officiating.  Interment will follow at High Point Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 15, 2013.  J.C.
