Faye Barnhardt of Newborn, GA died Sunday March 20, 2011 at her residence. She was born on September 25, 1941 in Salisbury, NC to the late Owen Irvine Ridenhour and Dorothy Elizabeth Brown Ridenhour. She retired after 34 years as a school bus driver for Newton County and carried three generations of students. She also worked for 10 years at Livingston Elementary School as a lunch room monitor where she had a great influence on many kids and made lasting friendships. She was a loving caregiver to not only her family but to many friends. During her life she enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping, and riding horses.
Mrs. Barnhardt is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Bobby and Janet Barnhardt of Longwood, FL and Sammy and Ann Barnhardt of Covington, GA; daughter: Karen Barnhardt of Newborn, GA; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brothers: Johnnie Ridenhour of North Carolina, Tommy Ridenhour of Texas, Doug Ridenhour of North Carolina; sister-in-law: Willa Ridenhour of Covington, GA. She is preceded in death by husband: Kenneth Eugene Barnhardt, son: Wayne Null, brothers: Frank Ridenhour and Owen Ridenhour.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Hegwood officiating.
