Elizabeth Hollingsworth Ellis, 98, born June 23, 1914 in Newton County, Georgia passed away at her home on June 3, 2013. She lived in the Salem Community with her parents John Milton and Toccoa Corrine Ramsey Hollingsworth until her marriage to Charles Jones Ellis and then resided in Oxford, Georgia.    An extraordinary lady, she worked on the Square in Covingtonfrom age sixteen until in her early eighties. She was a member of Allen Memorial UMC of Oxford and was a lifelong supporter of Salem Campground and Cemetery.  In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by sisters Frances H. Jones, Eugenia H. English, Mary Ruth Hollingsworth, Corrine H. Jones, Letitia H. Walker and brothers William Madison Hollingsworth, Samuel Ramsey Hollingsworth, and Charles Jefferson Hollingsworth.  She is survived by a brother-in-law Leland Ellis, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.  Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday June 5th at J.C. Harwell &Son Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel.  A graveside service honoring her life will be held on June 6th at 11 a.m. atOxfordHistoricalCemetery with the Rev. John Walker and the Rev. Max Vincent officiating.   Memorial contributions may be made to Allen Memorial United Methodist Church at P.O.
