Edwin Moss of Oxford, passed away February 3, 2010, at the age 87. Mr. Moss was a member, deacon, and ordained minister of Macedonia Baptist Church, where he was also a long time song leader and Sunday school teacher. He was born and raised in the High Point area, where he attended Heard Mixon Elementary School, but has resided in the Gum Creek area for the last 65 years. Mr. Moss retired from Bibb Manufacturing Co., in 1983, after 43 years of dedicated service. As a part-time farmer, he enjoyed working in his garden, raising chickens, and tending to his cows. He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Moss was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Annie Ruth Duncan Moss; parents, Franklin Wright and Georgia Callahan Moss; and his brother, George Wright Moss. Survivors include his daughter, Dianne Moss and Ricky Norris; son and daughter-in-law, Frankie and Janet Moss, all of Oxford; grandchildren, Michael and Sherrie Moss, Kelli Moss; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brittney, and Austin Moss; sister, Lenora Darby; brothers, Jimmy Moss, Joe Moss, all of Covington; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Moss will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010, 2 PM, at Macedonia Baptist Church, in Oxford, with Rev. William Herndon, Rev. Larry Cheek, and Rev. Dave Nelson officiating, and interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, Thursday, February 4, from 6-8 PM, and Friday, February 5, from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, a love offering may be made to help with the funeral expenses.

Mr. Wesley Berg, aged 67, of Newborn, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. He was born on March 6, 1958, in Atlanta. Mr. Berg grew up in Decatur and graduated from Shamrock High School. He was a dedicated Christian who had a passion for mission work and helping others, frequently traveling to disaster-stricken areas to assist those in need. Mr. Berg was a committed member of Centennial Baptist Church. As a hardworking individual, he owned and operated Berg Heating and Air.

He was predeceased by his parents, Roland and Margine Tribble, and his stepsister, Lynn Daniel. Mr. Berg is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dawn Berg; his siblings, Vincent Berg, Judy Berg, Katherine Berg, Karen Berg, and Krysten Berg; his stepbrother, Bobby Tribble, and Carol Schneider; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other family members, and many close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2025, at Centennial Baptist Church, 5321 Brownwood Rd, Rutledge, GA 30663, with Reverend Terry Richardson and Reverend Wilburn Hill officiating.
