Chris Evans, 52, of Porterdale, died April 7. He was a 1977 graduate of Hapeville High School, a former football star and state champion in wrestling. Mr. Evans was the owner of Evans Heating & Air. He was preceded in death by his father James Edward Evans.

Surviving are son Edward Christopher Evans Jr., mother Peggy White, companion Angela Tyson, sister Connie Tant, brothers David and Ronnie Evans, aunt and uncle Virginia and Billy Graham of Eastman, several cousins and nephews, and one niece.
