Clara King, of Social Circle, died September 29, 2015. She retired from Tucker High School where she worked in the cafeteria for many years. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee King; son, Edward S. King; parents, George W. and Vera Watson Smith; brother, James Blissett. Surviving are son, Walter Phillip King, of Social Circle; sister-in-law, Barbara Ann King Carter, of Social Circle; grandsons, David King Saladino, and George W. King; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral was held 11 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2015 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Social Circle with Reverends Leah Cunningham and Michael Wilson officiating. Interment followed at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens in Snellville. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the church or charity of choosing or Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
