Akins

Mr. Chester Thomas "C.T." Akins, age 69, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Atlanta Medical Center.  Mr. Akins was born July 10, 1940 in Cartersville, GA to Chess and Willie Mae Akins.  He worked in the construction industry.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Etta Jane Johnson and a sister Jane. 

Mr. Akins is survived by 3 daughters: Kathy (Ronnie) J. Lund of Melrose, FL, Peggy Sue (Wayne) Jones of Trenton, FL. and Theresa Akins of Palatka, FL. 3 sons: Tommy Akins of Trenton, FL., Pete (Marty) Akins of Covington, GA. and Chuck (Robin) Akins of Covington, GA., 2 sisters: Sara (Melvin) Lucus of Covington, GA. and Ruby (Dan) Strandberg of Covington, GA., a brother, Runt (Janet) Akins of Covington, GA., 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Mr. Akins will be held at 10:30AM Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Trenton, FL. with Reverend David Jones officiating.  The family will receive friends at Watson Funeral Home Monday, September 28, 2009 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.  Arrangements under the care of Watson Funeral Home 426 W.
