Charlotte Ivy Davis, of Griffin, passed away May 19, 2016, at Spalding Regional Medical Center in Griffin. She was born on Feb. 19, 1943, at the Porterdale Maternity Hospital on Poplar Street to the late Idus and Nellie Ivy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronnie Ivy. Survivors include her daughter, Angie Davis Melton of Rex; sons, Charles (Chuck) Davis of Jackson, Rodney and Clifford Davis, both from Griffin; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Frank and Carol (Ivy) Gossett of Covington; Shirley Ivy Sineath of Hampton; brothers and sister-in-laws, Willie Ray (Buddy) and Teddy Ivy of Senoia, Danny and Gina Ivy of Franklin, and Larry and Julie Ivy of Hampton and several nieces and nephews.

Charlotte was always a loving mother and loved her children and family deeply. She was hard working, never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. She loved to tell a joke and was always up on the latest news of everyone. She always called all of her family members at least three times a day to check on them and she will surely be missed by all that knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held for Charlotte at a later date. Conner-Westbury Funeral Home in Griffin was in charge of arrangements.
