Charles Wade Giles

Charles Wade Giles of Covington, passed away April 28, 2012, at the age of 52. Mr. Giles was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. While in service, he served 12 years as a military police officer, served 1 year in the Philippines, and was Sergeant when his military service ended. He was employed by Penske Logistics for 6 years, and Federal Express for 18 years. Mr. Giles was currently a member of Belmont Baptist Church, but taught Sunday School at Eastridge Community Church and Gateway Community Church. He had a green thumb, and loved vegetable and flower gardening. Mr. Giles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wayne Giles and Gloria Ann Martin Price.
Survivors include his wife, Robin F. Giles; daughter, Katie Giles; sons, Glynn Giles, Daniel Cooper, Joseph Giles, Christopher Giles, all of Covington; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vicki Lynn and Marvin Dow of Loganville, Shirley and Kenneth Lester of Conyers; brothers, Nelson Price of Decatur, Michael Price of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Titus Kelley, Alayna Giles; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Giles were held Tuesday, May 1, 2012, 4 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Nolan Jackson officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
