Captain Tim Taylor (Ret.), age 69, of Covington, passed away Aug. 12, 2017.  He was born Aug. 2, 1948 in Ashville, North Carolina.  Tim enjoyed fishing, boating, trying for another hole in one playing golf, playing poker with his retired buddy’s and spending time with his friends and family and cherished time with Bentley the beagle.  Captain Taylor retired from Dekalb County Police Department after a career that spanned 30 years.  He is survived by his wife; Shelley Pedersen of Covington, his son; Tim Taylor, Jr of Lawrenceville, his daughter and son-in-law; Janice and Mark Corkery. of Cumming, his grandsons, Alex, Jack, Avery and Parker, his sister-in-law; Kathy Taylor. of Tampa, Florida.  Tim is also survived by his nieces, a nephew, other family and a host of close friends.

A gathering of friends will be held from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017 at J.C Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692 Dallas, TX 75284-0692 or a charity of your choice.  J.C.
