Bob Cantrell, 52, of Covington, passed away Dec. 30 at Emory University Hospital. Mr. Cantrell loved spending time with his family and playing golf and was a softball coach for 15 years. He loved to travel, but his favorite place to be was Daytona Beach.  Mr. Cantrell enjoyed going to the movies and his job and was the comedian of the family.  He never met a stranger.

Survivors include his wife Ragen Cantrell of Covington; daughters and son-in-law Tamara and Dusty Utes-Fouser of Grayson, Tori Cantrell of Athens; grandchildren Bryson and Aubrey Utes-Fouser; parents Robert and Shirley Cantrell of Covington; sisters and brother-in-law Joan Allen and fiancé Frank Pfirman,  Barbara and Frank Rogers, all of Covington; brother and sister-in-law Greg and Stacy Cantrell of Social Circle; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Cantrell were held Jan. 3, at Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road in Covington, with Pastor Mike Wadley officiating. Interment followed in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
