Bessie Mae Williams of Covington, passed away October 17, 2009, at the age of 92. Mrs. Williams was a faithful member of Voice of Pentecost in Covington. She enjoyed cooking for her grandchildren, and everyone loved her pecan pie. Mrs. Williams often donated her time volunteering with the Hospital Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. Williams; parents, Henry and Sara Elizabeth Johnson Frasier; 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy Williams of Social Circle, Gail and Bo Chandler of Covington, Ernestine and Roger Bell of Conyers, Katherine Alexander of Covington; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby McDaniel, Florene Elrod, both of Flowery Branch; sister-in-law, Eula Frasier of Buford; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Williams were held Monday, October 19, 2009, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, with interment in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
