Mr. Adell Digby, 91, passed away Aug. 16. Mr. Digby was briefly employed by Bibb Manufacturing Company, before opening Digby Trim Shop which he owned and operated for 28 years. He ran the Porterdale Recreation Department for a number of years, and served as custodian for County Line Baptist Church for 17 years. While at County Line Baptist he taught the fourth grade Sunday school class.

He enjoyed deer hunting, and often composed and wrote lyrics, music, poems and short stories. He played several musical instruments and sang Christian and country music.
He was a loving father for 72 years, and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. Mr. Digby was preceded in death, Sarah Alice (McGiboney) Digby; and his parents, Robert Lee and Berda Mae (Walton) Digby.

Survivors include children and spouses, Sidney Lamar and Julie Digby of Macon, Michael J. (Mickey) and Dee Dee H. Digby of Jackson, Gary Lee and Sue Digby of Covington, Jacqueline (Jackie) L. Digby and Paul Jones of Covington; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Digby will be held Sunday, Aug. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, in Covington, with his nephew, Tony McGiboney officiating, and interment following in Porterdale Baptist Cemetery.

Mr. Wesley Berg, aged 67, of Newborn, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. He was born on March 6, 1958, in Atlanta. Mr. Berg grew up in Decatur and graduated from Shamrock High School. He was a dedicated Christian who had a passion for mission work and helping others, frequently traveling to disaster-stricken areas to assist those in need. Mr. Berg was a committed member of Centennial Baptist Church. As a hardworking individual, he owned and operated Berg Heating and Air.

He was predeceased by his parents, Roland and Margine Tribble, and his stepsister, Lynn Daniel. Mr. Berg is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dawn Berg; his siblings, Vincent Berg, Judy Berg, Katherine Berg, Karen Berg, and Krysten Berg; his stepbrother, Bobby Tribble, and Carol Schneider; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other family members, and many close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2025, at Centennial Baptist Church, 5321 Brownwood Rd, Rutledge, GA 30663, with Reverend Terry Richardson and Reverend Wilburn Hill officiating.
