Upon arriving home from a friend's house, a woman was closing the door of her home when her ex-boyfriend, Lanier Sanchez Mathis forced his way into the house.

Mathis told the woman to give him money and went into her bedroom. Out of fear, she gave him $200. Mathis then took her cell phone so she could not call the police.

She then chased Mathis with a large butcher knife outside. Mathis got into a black vehicle and sped away.
