LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) — Authorities have set a December trial date for the founder of the DragonCon science-fiction convention, who faces multiple charges of child molestation.

A judge in Gwinnett County set the trial for Edward Kramer after hearing testimony about his numerous medical conditions. WSB-TV reports that Kramer entered the courtroom Monday in a wheelchair, equipped with an oxygen tank and hearing aid.

Kramer was charged with molestation in Gwinnett County in 2000, but declared unfit to stand trial because of a spinal condition. He was accused of molesting three boys between 1996 and 2000. He was put on house arrest and ordered to have no contact with children under 16. He was given permission to travel in 2008 and authorities say he was found in 2011 in a Connecticut motel room with a 14-year-old boy.
