The year 2016 saw several long-time public servants finish their service to the community.

The likes of Covington City Councilwoman Janet Goodman, Covington City Attorney Ed Crudup, Covington Assistant Police Chief Almond Turner, Newton County Judge Henry Baker, Newton County Senior Services Director Josephine Brown and Bethlehem Baptist Church Pastor Hezekiah Benton worked their final days in their respective positions.
