Toddler reportedly found intoxicated

Officers with the Covington Police Department arrested a man on disorderly conduct charges after he and his girlfriend reportedly got into an argument after her 2-year-old son became intoxicated while in his care.

A CPD report said an officer responded to a home on Carlton Trail in reference to a family fight after dispatch stated that a woman was being threatened by her boyfriend, identified as Qunitterius Hawk. Dispatch stated that Hawk tore his girlfriend’s shirt off, pushed her and tried to punch the victim and her mother.

The woman told the officer that she came home from work earlier that day and found her 2-year-old intoxicated. Hawk was reportedly watching the toddler.

According to the report, the woman said she and Hawk began arguing and he left the residence. But she said Hawk returned later and they began arguing again.

"(The woman) said Hawk ripped her shirt off of her. (She) had on a black tank top around her waist and stated she got another shirt from her mother’s car," the report stated.

Hawk reportedly took the woman’s keys and locked himself inside the house. The report said the woman had a friend bring over a spare key and she was able to enter the home.

Officers reportedly found Hawk hiding in the bedroom closet. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

The woman’s mother reportedly took the child home with her. The report said the child acted as though he did not feel well when he got to their house. However, after he was given some water, he started to feel better, walking and playing, the report said
