The Spring Fling will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Southern Heartland Gallery, 1132 Monticello St., while A Taste of Downtown, a showcase of fare from seven downtown restaurants, will be offered next door at 1138 Monticello Street Banquet Hall.

The art gallery event will feature an exhibit of wearable art, in conjunction with partners Brendle's, Perfect Fit Lingerie, Merle Norman and New Shoez.

A wine tasting, staged by Newton Package, will be offered, and entertainment will be provided by Marshall McCart.
The restaurant showcase will offer 10 tastes for $10, with tickets available from the restaurants and from Current Events Productions.
