Mark your calendar and join the community for a weekend event to provide fun, entertainment and even some early holiday shopping for anyone in the family.
The Covington News is hosting its first-ever Autumn Fest Saturday, Sept. 20 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. right in the office parking lot just off the downtown Square.
Come check out any of the at-least 30 vendors and browse their products, from handcrafted coffee and tea to homemade preserves to crocheted items and children’s books. There will be healthy food products and origami and Tupperware.
“With Christmas being just three months away, it can be a nice opportunity to get some early gifts,” said Cynthia Warren, director of newspaper development at The News.
Live entertainment will be provided by local Ashley Walden, and DJs will be selling mixed CDs.
A travel agency will also be set up to help residents find early holiday deals on their vacation plans.
Darrell Everidge, The News photographer, will be available to take photos, from Christmas cards to family portraits, for a small fee.
Attendees can park in the back parking lots behind The News.
