Registration is open through April 12 for the 10th Annual Covington Cheerios Challenge.

The event will be held on Saturday, April 16, at the Covington YMCA, 2140 Newton Drive. It will feature a 10-K race, a 5-K race and a 1 mile fun run. The Challenge is USATF certified and is an AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifier.

Cost for advance registration is $15 for the 10-K and 5-K, or $25 for both. Advance registration for the Fun Run is $11, or you can pay $45 for a Family Pack of four. A shirt will cost $20 and is available in adult sizes through early registration only. Race day registration is $20 for 10-K and 5-K, $15 for the Fun Run, $35 for both 10-k and 5-K events, and $60 for the Family Pack.

The male and female runner to break the course records in the 5-K or 10-K can earn $100.

The registration form is available on Page 4A in today's newspaper and can be mailed or brought to the Y. You may also register online at www.active.com.

The registration fee is nonrefundable and checks should be made out to the Covington YMCA.
