From Sept. 4 through Sept. 28, Southern Heartland Arts, Inc. and United Bank are hosting Artful Harvest, the annual fine art show and exhibit at the Southern Heartland Arts gallery. This year, over 140 paintings, sculptures, photographs and other art were received by the gallery.

"The art is just simply outstanding," said Susan Wahl, finance chair for Southern Heartland Arts. "We are so very excited and proud to bring this show to our local community, and hope everyone will get a chance to stop by."

Most pieces hanging for Artful Harvest are for sale and may be purchased at the gallery. Other pieces include work from artists’ private collections, as well as gallery artists’ work, which was moved to the windows and classroom behind the gallery to make way for the September show. A reception and awards ceremony will be held on Sept. 18 from 6-8 p.m.

Southern Heartland Arts, Inc. invites the community to view the art show, and is also offering small tours for art classes, church groups, or civic groups.
