Special delivery: Approximately 8,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies were transferred from a U-Haul to a semi-trailer truck at the National Guard Armory Wednesday morning in preparation to be given out to troops as they board an overseas-bound airplane. For the second year, Ginny Fahs, 18, of Girl Scout Troop 20352, headed up the local donation project as a simple way for people to send Girl Scout cookies to soldiers overseas. Though this year’s donations equaled approximately 2,000 boxes less than last year’s, Fahs was very pleased with the amount of support given.
