UPDATE: Springfield Baptist's 100,000 pounds of food was fully distributed by Wednesday, Dec. 17. SBC holds a free food distribution once every three months.

Springfield Baptist Church will be giving away more than 100,000 pounds of food to families in need from Dec. 16-19.

The registration and distribution dates/time are: Tuesday, Dec. 16, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Wednesday, Dec. 17, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Thursday, Dec. 18, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 19, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Recipients must be present and show ID to register in order to receive food. Distribution is for residents of Newton and surrounding counties.

Food will be distributed until the allotted amount of food for that day runs out.

The registration and distribution location is as the Springfield Baptist Activity Center, located behind the worship center, at 1877 Iris Dr, Conyers.
