Southern Heartland art show coming

Southern Heartland Art Guild is holding its annual fall show, sponsored by United Bank, at Southern Heartland Art Gallery Sept. 5–29. Artists from throughout Georgia are invited to participate.

Due to repairs at the Newton Public Library, where Artful Harvest is normally held, this year’s show has relocated to Southern Heartland Gallery on the Square. Judging will be done by Camille Cottrell, associate professor of art history and studio art at Oxford College of Emory University. The awards ceremony and reception, hosted by the Heartland Woman’s Club, will be from 5-7 p.m. Sept. 12.

Entries for 2013 are limited to one per artist.

Visit or stop by the gallery for more information and a prospectus.
