The fireworks show must go on, and Social Circle has rescheduled its Fourth of July display for Saturday, July 9.

The fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. at Social Circle High School off Alcova Road, according to Mike Miller of Social Circle Better Hometown. It will be a fireworks only event, with no other events.

A  lingering thunderstorm on Monday forced Social Circle to cancel its Fourth festivities, including its fireworks.
