Social Circle City Council members will get to meet some junior ambassadors in a called meeting at 6:30 tonight in the community room in city hall at 138 E. Hightower Road.

The Social Circle Better Hometown program will introduce the council to four Social Circle High School seniors who will serve as BHT Junior Ambassadors, according to Mike Miller, manager of the better hometown program.

Junior Ambassadors meet four hours a month and learn how a city works, how to bring business to a community and other skills that will make them young spokesmen for Social Circle, according to Miller.

In other business, grand marshals for the Oct. 2 Friendship Festival will be announced and the council will consider a zoning variance request for Star Home Builders in Townpark subdivision.
