Skrobot guilty of child molestation

Former Covington baker Charles Leslie Skrobot, pleaded guilty to child molestation Thursday.

Stemming from charges in 2010, Skrobot initially requested a trial and rejected any plea deals from the district attorney's office.

A former member of the Covington Redevelopment Authority and the owner of the now closed Town Center Breads; the 58 year old was accused of molesting a 4-year-old girl, a relative of Skrobot's.

Skrobot has not been sentenced yet. He is currently at the Newton County Jail with no bond set as of press time.
