The deceased victim of Tuesday night's shooting has been identified as 20-year-old Jerome Glover - the cause of death listed following his autopsy was multiple gunshot wounds.
According to Covington Police detective D.J. Seals, one victim has been released from the hospital and the other two, while still hospitalized, are currently holding steady. One man is at Grady Hospital and the other is currently at Atlanta Medical.
"As these folks get better we are going to be interviewing them in depth," said Seals. "They are the only ones that can tell us what really happened. Thus far, the one victim we have talked with as well as other witnesses have all been very helpful."
The two men still hospitalized have yet to be interviewed. Seals said they spoke with them briefly on the night of the shooting but their main concern was getting all of the victims the medical attention they needed and were more focused on that then on questioning them. Also, their wounds and the ordeal they had just been through caused all victims to be in extreme distress, causing detectives to worry more about their health then statements at that time.
The accused shooter, 18-year-old Jamaal Pridgett, remains in the Newton County Detention Center, currently charged with malice murder as well as four counts each of armed robbery and aggravated assault.
